To ask the Secretary of State for Education what discussions (a) he, (b) other Ministers in his Department and (c) staff in his Department have had with the Access to Education Advocate on further education for those aged 16 to 19 years.

Simon Hughes was appointed as Advocate for Access to Education to work with the Government to ensure that their goal of increasing participation in higher education by those from the most disadvantaged backgrounds is met. During the course of his work, he has met Department for Education Ministers and officials to discuss matters relating to further education for those aged 16 to 19 years.
