To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will assess the potential effects of the downgrading of Ireland's credit rating on (a) UK GDP, (b) the UK manufacturing industry and (c) agriculture in the UK.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) is responsible for producing independent economic and fiscal forecasts. The OBR made a full assessment of UK economic prospects in their “Economic and Fiscal Outlook”, published alongside Budget 2011, which can be found online at:


The autumn Economic and Fiscal Outlook will provide an updated assessment that reflects relevant developments, including in Ireland.
