To ask the Secretary of State for Education what proportion of procurement contracts offered by his Department have been advertised on the Contracts Finder website since the website's inception.

The Department does not maintain a central record of those contracts that have not been advertised, for example contracts that have been let following a call off from a framework agreement. To include those contracts in the calculation of the proportion of contracts advertised on Contracts Finder could be done only at disproportionate costs.

However, of the 23 contracts that have been advertised since 1 January 2011, 11 or 48% have been advertised on Contracts Finder.
