To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what process her Department follows for the production of regulatory guidance; and how many officials of her Department were involved in the production of such guidance on the last date for which figures are available.

The code of practice for guidance is set centrally and is published by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills. The Home Office does not keep a central record of the number of officials involved in the production of guidance.
