To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with other oil-producing countries to increase the production of oil.

The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my right hon. Friend the Member for Richmond (Yorks) (Mr Hague), has discussions on a range of issues with counterparts. The Minister of State, my noble Friend the right hon. Lord Howell of Guildford, discussed oil markets and production during his visit to the Gulf region in May, which included Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
