The Ministry of Defence has not made any overall assessment of the effects that the Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR) will have on the number of people employed in the defence industry in the United Kingdom. The overall impact of the SDSR on the defence industry is not yet clear, as many changes, such as re-negotiation of several major contracts, is still under way.
