To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many meetings she has had with animal welfare charities since her appointment; and what matters were discussed at each such meeting.

The Secretary of State and her ministerial team have had a number of meetings with animal welfare charities including the RSPCA, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Blue Cross Animal Hospital, Dogs Trust, Animal Defenders International, Captive Animals' Protection Society, Kennel Club and Born Free. These meetings have been part of a programme of stakeholder engagement to discuss a wide variety of current issues.
