To ask Her Majesty's Government what are the current estimated costs of building the Intercity Express Programme train when built as an all electric version and as a bi-mode (diesel and electric) version respectively.

The eventual cost of building the rolling stock is an issue for Agility Trains, the train manufacturer. As the procurement process has not yet concluded, details of Agility's latest costs remain confidential to Agility Trains and the Department for Transport.
