To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government how many officials in his Department (a) are working on the local government resources review and (b) have been seconded to HM Treasury to work on the review.
The work of the local government resource review has been taken forward by existing teams within the Department for Communities and Local Government, alongside their existing policy responsibilities. Taking account of support from legal and analyst colleagues, 14 officials have been involved in the substantive work of the review at various times. In addition, support has been provided by three additional members of staff, one of whom is employed by HM Treasury but who is co-located with this Department.
