To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether his Department has made any requests to other countries for (a) financial and (b) military assistance for the operation in Libya.

There is a regular ongoing dialogue with international partners including the UN, NATO, EU and within the Libya Contact Group on funding and military assistance. It is clear that there is a broad international coalition in support of the operation in Libya and many nations are contributing.
