To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government if he will assess the recommendations in the report of the Local Government Association's Fire Commission on the future of the Fire Service College; and if he will make a statement.

As was said in the Government's response to the Fire Futures Reports, we very much welcome the leadership and commitment the Local Government Association have shown in respect of securing the future of the Fire Service College. We will take their findings and recommendations into account in taking forward the future options work to deliver a new operation and governance model for the Fire Service College which, through greater involvement from other sectors, secures its future.
