To ask the hon. Member for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross, representing the House of Commons Commission, what assessment he has made of the availability of measures which would bar cold calls to telephones on the House of Commons part of the Parliamentary Estate.

Parliamentary ICT has investigated the options for reducing unsolicited sales and marketing telephone calls to lines on the Parliamentary Estate via the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS) and registers Members' telephone numbers with the TPS upon request. This helps to reduce cold calls to these numbers by companies either based in the UK or acting on behalf of companies based in the UK.
