To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the Financial Services Authority will be asked to publish its response to comments directed to it by the report of the Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has not been asked by the Financial Policy Committee (FPC)- which includes both the chairman and chief executive of the FSA among its members-to publish a response and currently has no plans to do so. We expect the next cycle of FPC meetings to consider how recommendations have been taken forward and information may be released at the next press conference. Where recommendations require the FSA to disclose information, this will be published as required. However, confidential, firm-specific information cannot be published.
