To ask the Secretary of State for Defence by what date he expects the replacement for HMS Endurance to be fully operational.

HMS Protector, the interim replacement ship for HMS Endurance, was commissioned into the Royal Navy fleet on 23 June. On current projections, it will depart Portsmouth towards the end of this year to conduct its first deployment to the Antarctic.
