The recommended ban is included as part of our considerations of the wider implications for transplant allocation policy of the rights of European Union nationals and of the role and impact of private practice. This process is complex and ongoing. Following careful consideration of all the issues, we will make any necessary changes and publish guidance for the transplant sector.
