To ask the Prime Minister whether the Honours and Appointments Secretariat received any communication from the Scottish National Party in support of the nomination for an award of Sir Brian Souter.

Confidentiality is fundamental to the integrity of the honours system. Nominations for any award are handled in complete confidence. The Honours and Appointments Secretariat in the Cabinet Office does not comment on individual cases.
