To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what estimate has been made of the cost to the public purse of the proposed improvements to junction 30 of the M25.

The Secretary of State for Transport's statement, Investment in highways and local transport schemes, made clear that we will continue development work on options for M25 Junction 30 for potential construction in future spending review periods. There remains more work to be done to identify a solution for Junction 30 that is both affordable and cost effective and it would be premature to comment on the form that any scheme might take.
