The Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport, my right hon. Friend Mr Hunt, has frequent contact with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, my right hon. Friend Mr Osborne, on a wide range of issues. Departmental officials have had discussions with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) on VAT and sports clubs and received advice on their position.
