To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what assessment she has made of the contribution of emissions from public service vehicles to breaches of EU standards for maximum levels of nitrogen oxides in (a) London and (b) other metropolitan areas.
The Government have completed an assessment of the contribution from all road transport sources to emissions of oxides of nitrogen in London and all other metropolitan areas where there are exceedences of the nitrogen dioxide limit value. This assessment takes into account emissions from public service vehicles and buses and has been published as part of a consultation on draft air quality plans for nitrogen dioxide, which is available on the DEFRA website at:
