The Department has allocated at least one ‘link' officer to liaise closely with each of the 17 councils in the ‘first wave' of Neighbourhood Planning Front Runners. The insight gained by the link officers into the experiences of individual Front Runner projects will inform the development of regulations and guidance in respect of Neighbourhood Planning. We will issue a final report on the project in autumn 2012.
