To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether he plans to put in place arrangements to ensure NHS consultants are prevented from establishing their own companies as part of his NHS reforms.

We have no such plans. National health service consultants are required to adhere to a Code of Conduct for Private Practice, which includes provisions governing the relationship between NHS work and other work.
