To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what discussions his Department has had with (a) HM Treasury and (b) the Scottish Government on the Scottish Government’s request that the Scottish Parliament should control the level of excise duty paid on alcohol in Scotland.

I have regular discussions with Cabinet colleagues on a range of matters affecting Scotland. At my meeting with the First Minister for Scotland on 12 May, we discussed a range of matters relating to the Scotland Bill.
