To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when her Department plans to transpose into UK law the provisions of the EU directive on human trafficking.

The Government will shortly be applying to the European Commission to formally opt in to the EU directive on human trafficking. If our application is accepted, we will consider the necessary legislative requirements thereafter, subject to the parliamentary timetable.
