To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the judgment in Iran to blind Majid Movahedi; and what representations have they made to the Government of Iran on the matter.

The sentence of blinding is barbaric and breaches international human rights norms. We have made this clear publicly, and have called on the Iranian authorities to commute the sentence and to cease the practice of corporal and capital punishment.
