To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions whether he conducted an equality impact assessment in respect of his decision to increase the qualification age for winter fuel allowance in line with the state pension age.

The winter fuel payment is a universal benefit and the qualifying age is linked to women's state pension age under existing legislation. The equality impact assessment covering the Social Security (Equalisation of State Pension Age) Regulations 2009 includes the impact on winter fuel payments.
