To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Iraqi Government on Camp Ashraf; and if he will make a statement.

Following an incident on 8 April 2011 at Camp Ashraf, I released a statement calling on the government of Iraq to cease violent operations in Camp Ashraf immediately. Our embassy officials, including our ambassador in Baghdad, have also raised concerns about the incident with the Iraqi President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Minister of Human Rights. We have urged the Iraqi authorities to take immediate steps to calm the situation at the camp; ensure that medical supplies are able to enter; and ensure that the human rights of camp residents are respected. We will continue to monitor developments at the camp closely.
