To ask Her Majesty's Government what consideration has been given to the appointment of a politician or a businessman as Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands on the replacement of the current Governor in August.

Prior to confirmation of appointment, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office does not comment on the recruitment of individual officers to specific posts. The next Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands will be announced in due course.
