We are continuing to work on proposals for a Public Data Corporation which achieve all the objectives which were initially set out on 12 January 2011 and then updated at Budget. Our intent remains to put in place a coherent data policy framework by autumn 2011. We are also considering the merits of machinery of government changes to facilitate the development of a Public Data Corporation (PDC) through a sponsoring department and the subsequent establishment of a PDC Shadow Board.
