To ask the Secretary of State for Transport on what date (a) he and (b) each other Minister in his Department last used a ministerial car while travelling in an official capacity; and how many times (i) he and (ii) each other Minister in his Department has travelled to their constituency in a ministerial car since May 2010.
The information is as follows:
(a) The Secretary of State for Transport, Mr Hammond, last used a ministerial car to travel in an official capacity on
(b) The Minister of State, Department for Transport, Mrs Villiers, last used a ministerial car to travel in an official capacity on
The Under-Secretary of State for Transport, Mike Penning, last used a ministerial car to travel in an official capacity on
I last used a ministerial car to travel in an official capacity on
(i) Information on the Secretary of State for Transport’s journeys to his constituency in a ministerial car is not held because he is provided with a ministerial car on a contract basis and journeys made within the contracted hours are not recorded individually. However, the Secretary of State has not used his car to travel to his constituency since May 2010.
(ii) The Minister of State has not made any journeys to her constituency in a ministerial car since May 2010.
The Under-Secretary of State has made 102 journeys to his constituency in a ministerial car since May 2010.
I have made no journeys in a ministerial car to my constituency since May 2010.
