To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether a person with an unspent conviction who is thereby prohibited from making an application for funds under the domestic violence rule is eligible for support from (a) the Sojourner Project and (b) any other funding from the public purse; and if she will make a statement.

A person with an unspent conviction is not prevented from applying for (a) support from the Sojourner Project, (b) settlement under paragraph 289A of the Immigration Rules or (c) a waiver of the fee for such an application on the basis of destitution.
