To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what advice his Department provides to those wishing to (a) work as an intern, (b) undertake a work experience placement and (c) work as a volunteer in his Department.

The Scotland Office does not issue any general advice to those wishing to work as an intern, undertake a work experience placement, or work as a volunteer in this Department. As a very small Department of only 57 people, the scope for such placements is limited. Any request for a placement is dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
