Our embassy officials meet regularly with the UN Assistance Mission to Iraq (UNAMI) and international partners to discuss the situation in Camp Ashraf. We remain concerned about recent developments and have urged the Iraqi authorities to take immediate steps to calm the situation at the camp; ensure that medical supplies are able to enter; and ensure that the human rights of camp residents are respected. We will continue to monitor developments at the camp closely.
