To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what recent discussions he has had with ministerial colleagues on the case for a cross-departmental review of the fiduciary obligations of institutional investors.

Although BIS Ministers have not held any discussions with ministerial colleagues on institutional investors’ fiduciary obligations, the Government believe it is important that these obligations are fully understood. Officials from this Department have met officials from other Government Departments to discuss these issues and are considering a range of options.
