The Department for International Development (DFID) provided a grant to Cyfanfyd, the development education centre for Wales, from April 2006 to September 2010. Following a consultation in 2009-10, Cyfanfyd were informed in February 2010 that DFID could not guarantee further direct funding after that grant period ended. This was confirmed in August 2010. DFID's support for programmes to raise awareness of international development, including for development education across the UK, is currently being reviewed.
