To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many families (a) nationally and (b) in London were in receipt of the childcare element of working tax credit and claiming for eligible childcare costs of more than (i) £100 per week for one child and (ii) £170 for two or more children in the latest period for which figures are available.
The following table shows the number of households (a) nationally (in the UK) and (b) in London that were benefiting from the child care element of working tax credit by (i) more than £100 a week for one child or (ii) more than £170 a week for two or more children. This is as at December 2010.
