To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Baroness Verma on 21 March (WA 126-7), what assessment they have made of the allocation of the budget support for Uganda from the United Kingdom, in particular in relation to the increase in spending by the Government of Uganda prior to the last general election in that country.

The UK Government have not taken a final decision on budget support for Uganda for financial year 2011-12. We are forecasting a phased reduction in the level of general budget support over the next four years.
