To ask Her Majesty's Government what plans are in place to appoint a new Inspector of Microbiology and Infection Control at the Department of Health.

The provision of microbiological advice will be reviewed as part of the establishment of Public Health England and a decision on how to cover the Inspector of Microbiology and Infection Control's functions will be made later this year.
