To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Baroness Rawlings on 23 March (WA 173) concerning smoking in television broadcasts, what guidance they have issued to Ofcom on the issue of warnings about smoking at the start of the programmes.

The Government have not issued guidance to Ofcom concerning warnings about smoking. The Written Answer from Baroness Rawlings of 23 March (WA 173) to the noble Lord explained Ofcom's statutory responsibility for such matters.
