To ask the Secretary of State for Education how much of his Department's budget for funding for school buildings and facilities he expects to be spent on sports facilities; and if he will make a statement.
Decisions on the amount of capital funding to be spent on school sports facilities are for schools and local authorities. The Secretary of State would expect them to take into account the need for sufficient and adequate facilities for physical education and sport when making these decisions.
