To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many Typhoon aircraft were grounded because parts had been removed to keep other aircraft airborne on 9 March 2011.

On 9 March 2011 three Typhoon aircraft were being used as donor airframes for cannibalised parts. This is a routine measure in the management of the fast jet fleet. None of these aircraft were in the forward fleet.
