Communities and Local Government written question – answered at on 29 March 2011.
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government how many civil servants in his Department have been offered voluntary redundancy since April 2010; and if he will make a statement.
Since April 2010 the Department for Communities and Local Government has offered 33 staff "Voluntary Redundancy" as defined by the new Civil Service Compensation Scheme. It is too early to say how many staff will accept these offers. A further 154 staff have accepted "Voluntary Exit". Prior to the commencement of the new terms, 134 staff left the Department on voluntary terms under the previous compensation scheme.
