The Government continue to attach a high priority to the quality of life of service personnel and therefore intends to deliver as many new or improved single-living accommodation bed-spaces as possible from efficiencies within the Ministry of Defence.

It is anticipated that in this financial year 2010-11, in excess of 4,000 new bed-spaces will be delivered through various initiatives, including Project Allenby/Connaught and Project Single Living Accommodation Modernisation (SLAM).
