To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what criteria he used in making the decision to extend the fast-track feed-in tariff review of solar farms to include all community projects greater than 50 kilowatts; and if he will make a statement.

Under the feed-in tariffs (FITs) scheme, tariff levels are based on technology and generating capacity. The reference of 50kW is simply the threshold used in the existing definition of microgeneration which is why it provides the starting point for defining the scope of the fast-track review.
