To ask the Secretary of State for Health what assessment he has made of the effectiveness of the Independent Reconfiguration Panel in advising on the proposed closure of local health services.
As an advisory non-departmental public body, the Independent Reconfiguration Panel (IRP) is required to produce an annual business review of its activities and interactions with its sponsor, the Department of Health, including an assessment of achievements against objective and performance targets.
