To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what his policy is on the length of time for which persons diagnosed with AIDS prior to 1999 will be eligible for disability living allowance.

No time limit is made for the receipt of disability living allowance with regard to any particular diagnosis. Awards of disability living allowance, whether made for an indefinite period or a fixed period, are made on the basis that the conditions of entitlement upon which that award was made are met, and continue to be met.
