To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what (a) minimum qualification and (b) experience the Financial Services Authority requires of staff working on the formulation and implementation of policy in the (i) life assurance and (ii) pensions sector.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is an independent body and, as such, determines the appropriate qualification levels for its staff.
