To ask Her Majesty's Government what representations they have received from the government of Malaysia about the decision of the Committee on the Grant of Honours, Decorations and Medals that veterans of the Malaysian campaign may accept but not wear the Pingat Jasa Memorial Medal.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has not received any formal representations from the Government of Malaysia about the decision of the Committee on the Grant of Honours, Decorations and Medals (HD Committee) that veterans of the Malaysian campaign may accept but not wear the Pingat Jasa Malaysia medal. The decision of the HD Committee, and the reasons for this decision, were communicated to the relevant Malaysian authorities by our high commission in Kuala Lumpur.
