To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions if he will assess the relationship between the incidence of emergency hospital admissions and the number of (a) incapacity benefit claimants and (b) unemployed people in an area.

The Department has not assessed the relationship between the incidence of emergency hospital admissions and the number of incapacity benefits claimants nor unemployed people. We also have no plans to do so.
