Progress continues to be made in addressing the unhappy legacy which is described vividly in the independent review of RPA published last year. Despite the issues arising from the updating of farmer's maps and reduced staff numbers, the RPA met its target to pay 85% of 2010 SPS claimants by the end of December. But there is still much to do and it will inevitably take some time to fully address longstanding problems.
