No decision has been take on the form or method of sale of Royal Mail. We are taking a staged approach-our first priority is passing the Postal Services Bill to allow the framework for action. The Government will then bring into force the new regulatory regime and take decisions on private sector investment.

Our decision will depend on market conditions, getting best value for the taxpayer and securing a sustainable future for Royal Mail.
